4th season of Yalla Change: a new start towards greater youth participation

Through Yalla Change program, we always look to contribute to making a positive impact on the lives of young people by enhancing their participation in social and political life and creating safe spaces for expression and active and constructive dialogue with their peers and with decision makers and access to more opportunities for active participation and knowledge of and demanding their rights.

Yalla Change 4: Together, we embark on a new journey of change

In partnership with Norwegian People’s Aid, Social Developmental Forum- SDF announces the launch of the fourth season of Yalla Change Program: Promoting Youth Capacities as Change Leaders in Gaza Communities. This season will feature a distinguished number of activities and training that build the capabilities of young people to enrich their knowledge and enhance their self-confidence and the community’s confidence in their vital role.

What’s different this season?

Youth’s journey with Yalla Change program does not end with the end of the program period. In the fourth season, we seek to invest in the skills and capacities of young graduates of the previous three seasons by holding a training of trainers, where 20 young men and women will participate in intensive training to enhance their leadership and training skills to increase their participation opportunities. Through this training, we will graduate a new generation of competent young trainers as ambassadors for transferring knowledge to their peers.

Various paths: young people know, have skills, think and plan

60 new young men and women will join the Yalla Change program family. We will launch a focused training program that offers a mix between training methods and digital media in a range of areas including life skills, leadership skills, human rights principles, gender concepts, active citizenship, and advocacy skills.

Youth will also have a major role in social accountability, as the program will give young people the opportunity to dialogue with decision makers and ask their questions and opinions at a common table of constructive policy dialogue, in addition to creating diverse dialogue platforms, most notably the holding of the 2020 Youth Summit to provide solutions for the future.

Stay tuned for registration for the new season!
