About SDF:
The Social Developmental Forum (SDF) is a Palestinian non-governmental organization, established in 2006 by a group of young activists. SDF aims to build a professional, community-centered model capable of providing social services by efficiently utilizing and mobilizing available resources and achieving developmental goals based on a comprehensive approach that respects human rights, law, and civil values.
Project Description:
In partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), SDF is implementing the project of “Youth Networks Collaborating Towards Enhanced Education and Well-being Opportunities”. This project aims to provide safe and supportive educational and recreational spaces to uphold the rights of children to education and well-being through educational and recreational interventions, leveraging the role of youth networks in supporting children’s education, relief, and recreational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administrative and technical implementation of the project activities.
- Lead the project team to ensure effective execution of project activities within the set timeline.
- Ensure all project activities are conducted timely and in accordance with donor’s regulations.
- Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of field activities.
- Prepare Terms Of Reference (TOR) documents for project services/experts and ensure technical services are delivered as required.
- Supervise the dissemination of project-related media products according to the SDF and partner’s policies.
- Prepare periodic reports as required by the SDF and the donor reporting systems.
- Maintain productive relationships with community members, beneficiaries, and partners to ensure quality interventions.
- Ensure proper documentation of project activities and develop necessary registers and records for smooth and timely information exchange.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure efficient and appropriate use of funds in collaboration with the finance team.
- Contribute to periodic reviews of the project’s monitoring and evaluation systems.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Education Administration, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in NGOs, including a minimum of 3 years as a Project Coordinator.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, administrative, organizational, and planning skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Deep understanding of educational concepts, issues, and services for adolescents and children.
- Adequate networking skills with local organizations and community representatives, with the ability to engage with diverse community groups.
- Proficiency in report writing and a demonstrated ability to handle conceptual tools.
- Computer skills (MS Office, online applications, social networks, and email).
- Advanced writing and speaking skills in both English and Arabic.
