Creative Writing Training Concluded

Social Developmental Forum-SDF has concluded training program on creative writing for thirty-two young writers with disabilities in Gaza Strip, West Bank and Tunis City.
The training program composed of 90 training-hour included a group of topics; the most significant were creative writing principles, cultural rights according to local laws and UN convention, types of literary writing, writing and editing techniques and blogging skills in addition to a set of practical workshops for participants and counselling sessions to improve their literary content.
The training program is a part of Promoting the Abilities of Young Writers with Disabilities Project which is implemented by Social Developmental Forum in Palestine and Republic of Tunisia in partnership with Fanni Raghman Anni Association-Tunis, General Union for Palestinian Writers-Gaza within SOUTHMED CV Program/working together for the public value of culture in the southern Mediterranean funded by EU.
The project aims to enhance the capabilities and the integration of the writers with disabilities and to improve their cultural participation and positive engagement with their peers. In addition, a dedicated platform for those young writers as the first of its kind in the region will be launched and managed by the participants themselves; also a joint book from the literary texts of the participants will be printed in both languages Arabic and English.
It is worth mentioning that the Social Developmental Forum is civil Palestinian organization established in 2006 and provides a set of developmental programs and projects.
