On Saturday, SDF kicked off its three day “Initiatives’ Challenge” BootCamp supervised by five trainers in Chalets hall in Gaza City.

This camp is a continuation of “Yalla Change” training project which includes 100 participants from both genders from the first and second phase of the project and from the different regions of the Gaza Strip. The trainees are divided into five groups. Each group includes three teams, led by young people and will be implemented in the strip at the next stage.

Project coordinator Nareman Hwaihi said that “Initiatives’ Challenge” will bring about creative and competitive ideas that will have a applicable positive impact on society and will aim to solve existing societal problems.

On the objective of the challenge, she explained that through the Initiatives’ Challenge, the Forum aims to empower young people to play a real role in bringing about a direct positive impact on their communities.

It is noted that Yalla Change project was launched in 2017 to promote the role of young people as leaders of change in their communities by the Social Developmental Forum and the Gaza Online Network. Activities and initiatives will continue until the end of March 2019.
