SDF Receives the Best Digital Campaign Award in Palestine
Palestine – March 2021
The Social Development Forum won the Best Digital Campaign Award in Palestine for the year 2021 for its outstanding contribution to advocacy and awareness-raising campaigns through digital channels in Palestine.
The award was announced as part of the Palestine Digital Activity Forum (PDAF) implemented by the Arab Center for Social Media Development – a campaign and a wide range of partners at the local and regional level, that launched on March 29, 2021.
The campaign # We Want Elections launched by the Forum within the Yalla Change program in the second half of 2020 to demand the holding of general elections in Palestine is the winning campaign as one of the most prominent campaigns at the national level, as it has achieved a set of elements of distinction, starting from having a clear case of concern to people, defining the goal and messages effectively, in addition to diversity in digital content, effective access, balanced channel-level dissemination, and the use of digital tools according to the evaluation of the award committee.
On the importance of the campaign and the award, the Executive Director of the Forum, Mahmoud Al-Zant, says: “We want elections campaign comes from the importance of supporting the basic rights of youth in Palestine, first and foremost the political rights. The need for general national elections is an inherent right that everyone must work on. As for the award, it is a great morale boost for the forum as part of its efforts in developing the use of digital tools in developmental and societal work, and an appreciation for its efforts and contributions in digital advocacy for various issues for years, as the importance of the award comes from the importance of teamwork and achieving broader partnerships at the national level.”
It is worth noting that the SDF is the first institution at the national level to receive the award for the best digital campaign in Palestine.
