Gaza Track, a digital monintoring tracker for humanitarian situation in Palestine

Right after the 7th of October, as Israel started its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, the Social Developmental Forum launched “Gaza Track”, a digital platform that provides well-informed and evidence-based updates on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

Amid the lack of trusted information and the conflicting updates exchanged on digital platforms, SDF aimed to combat disinformation amid the escalated situation in Palestine.

In collaboration with Aman Coalition, Transparency Palestine, and SDF launched the platform was launched to provide a comprehensive reference for the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Ultimately, the aim is to institutionalize a national effort of monitoring information and ensuring accessibility and transparency during emergencies. 

The much-needed platform aims to facilitate resource sharing and access to information for all stakeholders, provide updated information, and analyze the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Moreover, it will document humanitarian efforts and provide a space for accountability.

SDF envisions this platform as a comprehensive library that documents information and presents it in an accessible manner to different audiences, especially journalists and researchers who need endorsed and transparent resources. 

Furthermore, Gaza Track provides a platform for Palestinian voices under displacement, especially relief workers. SDF collaborates with local and international partners to make Gaza Track a comprehensive and accessible platform for the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, providing well-presented and evidence-based periodic reports, updates, and insights published by official local and international actors.
